Ultimately, the recurring transactions feature saves you from manually entering the same payments every month, saving you both time and energy.
So, how can you automate recurring transactions in Google Sheets and Sheetify Bookkeeping?
Here’s how to set up recurring transactions in Sheetify Bookkeeping:
Open the latest version of your Sheetify Bookkeeping template (if you haven’t purchased Sheetify Bookkeeping, you can do so here).
Tip: If you ever need to adjust the trigger time, return to ‘Sheetify > Disable Recurring’ from the top menu, update the time, and then re-enable it again.
You can also always turn off the recurring transactions feature by simply disabling it.
Now you’re ready to set up each individual recurring transaction entry! To do this:
If you choose a date that doesn’t exist in a particular month (like February 30th), Sheetify Bookkeeping will automatically post the transaction on the last valid day of that month.
And that’s it! Once everything’s been set up, your recurring transactions will automatically post to your Income or Expenses tab every month on the day and time you’ve specified.
With this automation in place, you’ll never have to remember to re-record regular payments! The result? Your bookkeeping will stay consistent, accurate, and streamlined!
Note: Currently, this feature supports monthly recurring transactions only, but don’t worry, we are working on including weekly and yearly recurring transactions soon!
